SemGIS RDFa Editor. Purposes and methods of application of the Editor

Modified editor can be used in many ways. The first and most obvious is the use to create a new document from scratch. In this method, extended WYMeditor allows to manually prepare the document in HTML format, with introducing tags <div> and <span> to determine where objects are defined and corresponding properties. The process can be improved by providing a HTML template containing the skeleton of the entire document or repetitive parts of the document.

Template can contain text, with standard clauses of act in natural language, allowing it to fill by concrete designation. Template defines the editorial structure of the text, divided into chapters, paragraphs, paragraphs, sections, and indents. Template can contain tags with attributes defining prototype objects with type assertion and with properties relating to the mandatory designation, taken from the vocabulary (terminological component – TBox). In this case, template would include, along with the text in natural language, prototypes of objects (of certain type) and properties derived from the TBox. Prototypes of objects would be initialized by assigning a unique identifier, and by the introduction of specific property values. Template of this kind would help to provide a set of prototypes of triplets with defined classes and properties for creating and description of objects. Template provides predicates and classes of subjects, and all you need to define whole triplets, are the subjects and objects.

Vocabulary used to create a document from scratch can affect the style and scope of the legal act arrangements, that are not expressly regulated in the law. A vocabulary might created by the authors of the plan (urban planners) or may belong to the authority ordering this document (such as a local plan). In this way an internal standardization for spatial documents is reached. Publishing of these documents together with the terminology allows the automation of the processing and integration with other resources created by other institutions.

A second way to use the editor, is use for import an existing local plan document, such as HTML or paste the content of the document in MS Word or ODT formats. This document can be annotated by any person (entity) independently from the authors. This path resembles interpretation procedure of act, according to a certain pattern.

Third application of editor, is using it to create the templates, according to the possibilities and the requirements described above. This would mean either draft of a document in natural language or creating template of an XHTML + RDFa form of RDF graph, as a part containing only prototypes of triplets.
