Adam Iwaniak is assistant professor at the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics, Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences. 1994-2001 run the SIT laboratory at Geodesy and Cartographic Enterprise OPGK Wroclaw. 2002-2005 GIS advisor with the Surveyor General of Poland. From 2002 to 2012 head of GIS laboratory GISLab at Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences. 2006-2008 Vice-President of The Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography in Poland. Since 2008 co-owner of Kon-Dor GIS Konsulting.
Polish representative in the INSPIRE Committee, Member of the Scientific Council of Polish Geodesy and Cartography Institute in Warsaw, Vice-chairman of INSPIRE Implementation Council, , Vice-chairman of Team for Building The National Spatial Data Infrastructure, Member of the Technical Committee TC 297 at the Polish Committee for Standardization of Geographical Information, representative in the European Committee for Standardization CEN in The Working Group for Metadata.
Tomasz Kubik is assistant professor at the Institute of Computer Engineering, Control and Robotics at the Wroclaw University of Technology and since October 2010 he also works at the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics, Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences. He received an MSc Engineering degree in Control Engineering and Robotics in 1993, and a PhD degree in Automatics and Robotics in 1998 from the Institute of Engineering Cybernetics, Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland. From 1993 to 1996 he completed an internship at The Research Institute for Symbolic Computation at the Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria. From 2000 to 2003 he worked as Lecturer, Postdoctoral Fellow, at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Oita University, Japan. In 2007 and 2008 he served as adviser for Information Systems for the Surveyor General of Poland. He is a member of PKN/KT297 (Technical Committee for Geographical information of the Polish Committee of Standardisation) and OSGeo Chapter Poland. His current research interests are in GIS, SDI, AI and robotics.
Civil engineer. Urbanist. Involved in spatial management issues in public administration and as a designer. He focuses on urban planning, GIS and spatial modeling issues. Author of elaborations and a member of the design teams preparing planning documents for the local and regional authorities. Iwona Kaczmarek is a Research Assistant and a PhD student at the Department of Land Management in Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences. She received a Master Degree in Land Management from Wroclaw University of Technology. Her research interests are focused on GIS modeling for urban planning and the use of Semantic Web technologies for supporting spatial planning processes.
Graduated with Masters Degree in computer science from Wroclaw University of Technology in 2012. After graduation started PhD studies at Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics, Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences. During studies worked actively in the field of geoinformatics – both scientifically and professionally. His research activities are focused on the use of semantic technologies in the field of GIS: semantic interoperability, automated and supervised spatial data harmonisation process, semantic enrichment of SDI services.
